Job summary

SOLV Energy, a leading provider of solar, battery storage and HV substation projects, seeks an Assistant Commissioning Manager. You will plan, oversee testing and commissioning of HV, BESS and PV systems, and lead site teams to ensure safe, compliant and fully operable assets.

You will work with the Commissioning Manager and engineers to develop schedules, procedures, and milestones; coordinate with OEMs and cross-functional teams; and maintain daily progress reports and safety logs across

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commissioning/testing experience on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project commissioning team, providing guidance and support for efficient execution.
• Report daily status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop and review commissioning plans, procedures, and milestone deliverables.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Work with engineering, construction, and QA teams to align commissioning activities.
• Support development of integrated testing schedules and weekly updates.
• Create and maintain commissioning resource plans and LOTO procedures.
• Identify and resolve issues in commissioning or early operation.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental compliance across sites.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and track lessons learned and warranties.
