Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an Assistant Commissioning Manager to plan, oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV assets nationwide. You will work with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned safely and to project specifications.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, construction, and QA teams, developing commissioning plans and schedules, and reporting progress.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Travel is expected, including extended out-of-town stays as project needs dictate.

Responsibilities

Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective execution of tasks.
Report daily to the Commissioning Manager, the status of each project assigned.
Review technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to commissioning and assist with the development of a project milestone and deliverables list.
Communicate with OEM suppliers regarding equipment testing and commissioning.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams to align commissioning activities.
Develop integrated testing and commissioning schedules in Primavera P6 and maintain weekly updates.
Develop commissioning resource plans for the project.
Prepare daily commissioning reports and capture lessons learned.
