Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects across the United States. You will collaborate with SMEs to ensure safe, compliant installation, testing, and commissioning, supporting a smooth handover to project closeout.

The role is hybrid with on-site duties and travel as needed. A minimum of 3 years in utility-scale commissioning is preferred, with strong leadership, communication, and knowledge of NFPA/NEC standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in testing and commissioning of utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with NFPA/NEC standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance and support for efficient execution.
• Report daily on project status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop and review commissioning plans and procedures with engineering and QA teams.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Develop and maintain integrated testing and commissioning schedules and resource plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements throughout commissioning.
