Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects nationwide. You will lead the commissioning team, coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA, and ensure adherence to safety and industry standards.

The role requires on-site presence with partial remote work and travel to project sites. You will develop commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures, while coordinating with OEMs and stakeholders to deliver fully

Qualifications

• 3+ years of testing and commissioning in utility-scale electrical systems.
• Experience leading project commissioning teams and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV switching and electrical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with NFPA/NEC and ISO/NERC requirements.
• Proactive problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project commissioning team; provide guidance and training.
• Report daily progress to the Commissioning Manager and track milestones.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules; ensure alignment with requirements.
• Coordinate with OEMs on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Oversee safety programs including LOTO and tagging; manage site compliance.
• Prepare and review daily commissioning reports and action items.
• Monitor timelines and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
