Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services for the power industry, specializing in solar, battery storage, and high voltage substations. The Assistant Commissioning Manager will guide testing and commissioning across HV, BESS, and PV projects, coordinating with multiple teams to ensure safe, compliant, and fully operable assets.

The role is hybrid with on-site presence required at job sites.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in testing and commissioning utility-scale electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HV, MV switching operations and equipment grounding.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance and support.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on project status.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on testing and commissioning activities.
• Align engineering, construction, and QA teams on commissioning tasks.
• Develop and maintain integrated testing and commissioning schedules.
• Create resource plans and monitor progress to meet milestones.
• Oversee pre-commissioning through hot commissioning and switching activities.
• Identify and resolve issues; document lessons learned and best practices.
