Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist for their Hair Color Bar in Long Beach. The role supports Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, contributing to guest satisfaction from arrival to departure while learning and growing toward a Licensed Colorist position in 3–9 months.

The role offers base hourly pay with commissions and tips, with earnings ranging $28.50–$30.50 per hour at this location, and requires availability during peak times to best serve guests.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail is welcomed.
• Effective communication skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support licensed colorists and shift lead to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, and related color bar tasks.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals through retail and service upsells, memberships, and subscriptions.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, and processes.
