Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist at our Hair Color Bar in San Ramon, CA. You will support Licensed Colorists, assist with shampooing, styling and color services while learning to advance to a Colorist role within 3–9 months. This role offers base pay, commissions, and tips with potential earnings at the location.

You will be part of a team focused on guest experience, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards, with growth opportunities and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Assist in finishing services and shampooing, styling, blowouts, toner and related services.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset security standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue through increasing average service tickets and memberships.
• Learn and complete the Assistant Colorist to Colorist Training to grow your career.
