Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Palo Alto seeks an Assistant Colorist to support licensed colorists and the shift lead, learn color theory, consult guests, and perform shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and add-on services while maintaining a clean, organized environment. This role trains for promotion to Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months and reports to the Manager.

• Experience in guest experience and beauty industry preferred.
• Ability to learn color theory and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead to provide seamless guest experience.
• Perform shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, hot tool styling, treatments and toner services as requested.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services, and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and security of the Hair Color Bar.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
• Help drive revenue through services, memberships, subscriptions, and product sales.
• Assist in training tasks to grow towards Licensed Colorist role.
