Madison Reed is hiring an Assistant Colorist to support licensed colorists and the shift lead, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will learn consultations, color theory, and behind-the-chair application while assisting with services, shopping, and memberships.

Role offers base hourly pay plus commissions and tips, with potential earnings in the $21.50–$23.50 per hour range for this location.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in any customer service or retail environment; salon or beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Perform behind-the-chair services such as assisting finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling and color-related tasks per guest request.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services and memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset security standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies and procedures.
• Drive revenue through service tickets, memberships, subscriptions and home care sales.
• Learn and complete the Assistant Colorist to Colorist training to grow within Madison Reed.
