Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist who will support licensed colorists and the shift lead to ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will learn services, assist in consultations, and help guests choose the best color while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Role offers training toward becoming a Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months, with compensation including base hourly pay, commissions, and tips.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail sales; salon/beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication and people skills in fast-paced retail/salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist behind-the-chair services: shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, toner, add-on services.
• Contribute to hitting monthly sales goals including retail, services, memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, procedures.
• Drive revenue through increasing service tickets and memberships/subscriptions.
• Pursue training from Assistant Colorist to Colorist to grow within Madison Reed.
