Job Description Summary:

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in team coaching, match preparation, and individual player development.
2. Identify and recruit talented student-athletes for the women’s volleyball program.
3. Coordinate team and individual travel for competitions and recruitment.
4. Support in camps and clinics, and assist in game-day management.
5. Help in scouting and video preparation for competitions.
6. Monitor academic, social, and personal development of athletes.
7. Ensure compliance with NCAA, Atlantic 10, and university policies.
8. Develop effective relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Collegiate volleyball playing and coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and intercollegiate athletics.
• Experience leading high-level practices and training athletes.
• Effective communication skills.
• Technical proficiency and ability to motivate students.

Additional Information:

Position based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus, Washington, DC, with significant travel. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, with evenings and weekends as needed. Requires onsite presence and background checks. Salary range: $45,925.13 - $75,829.87. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, tuition, and more. No visa sponsorship available.
