Job Overview

The George Washington University Department of Athletics and Recreation, an NCAA Division I member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, actively engages students, alumni, fans, and the campus community through healthy living and competition. Located in Washington, D.C., the university aims to develop a world-class athletics and recreation program, reflecting the university's overall excellence by providing students with opportunities for achievement and engaging the wider community.

Reporting to the Head Coach of Volleyball, the Assistant Coach will support the volleyball program by:

1. Assisting in team coaching, match preparation, and individual player development.
2. Helping identify and recruit talented student-athletes academically and athletically.
3. Coordinating team and individual travel for competitions and recruitment.
4. Assisting in organizing camps and clinics, and managing game-day activities.
5. Supporting scouting and video analysis to prepare for competitions and monitoring student-athletes' academic and personal development.
6. Remaining knowledgeable about NCAA, Atlantic 10, and university compliance policies.
7. Building effective relationships with students, staff, alumni, and the community.

This position is based at GW's Foggy Bottom Campus, requiring significant domestic travel for games and events. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
