We are currently seeking an Upper School Assistant Volleyball Coach to join our Athletic Department for the 2024 fall season.

Position: Upper School Assistant Volleyball Coach
Reports to: Director of Athletics, Varsity Volleyball Coach
FLSA Status: Stipend, part-time position

Job Summary and Duties:

Duties include:

• Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition; this will include plans for experienced and brand-new players
• Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organize and run daily practices
• Attend all practices and games at the direction of the Varsity Volleyball Coach and Director of Athletics
• Supervise student-athletes during all team activities
• Comply with Sacred Heart and sport-specific organization policies and procedures
• Assist in maintaining equipment
• Communicate effectively with parents and students

Typical practice times are:

• Upper School: Season starts 8/19/24, 4:00-6:00pm, Monday- Friday; occasional Saturday games
• Travel with the team for practices and games is required. Some games require early departure for Upper School level teams.

Qualifications:
The ideal coaching candidate will have experience with the sport at the college level, or equivalent, expertise in teaching sport-specific skills and strategy and the ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women.

The candidate should be energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.
