Job summary

Sweetgreen is seeking an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager) to lead a fast casual team, mentor staff, and partner with the Head Coach to set goals and boost guest experiences using data to improve operations. You will drive performance and ensure consistent excellence across both in-store and digital guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a restaurant management/supervisory role.
• Experience developing and supervising 6+ team members per shift.
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Head Coach on hiring, onboarding, and training while fostering a culture of trust and recognition.
• Inspects food safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance and resolves issues while ensuring team safety and audit performance.
• Upholds brand standards to deliver a clean, hospitable guest journey across in-store and digital experiences.
• Manages controllable costs, schedules, and short-/long-term strategies using insights from Ops Dashboard.
• Supports daily operations, prioritizes tasks, and troubleshoots systems to ensure smooth execution.
• Performs essential functions from Shift Leader, Kitchen Lead, and Team Member roles.
