Job summary

Houston Fitness Partners, the Planet Fitness franchisee, is hiring an Assistant Club Manager for Houston locations. You will recruit, train, and develop a high-performing staff, maintain a welcoming club atmosphere, and resolve member concerns while supporting the Club Manager with reporting and inventory.

Expect front desk responsibilities, duties across multiple sites, and a strong emphasis on safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified prior to gaining employment and maintain your certification while employed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high performing staff.
• Lead by example and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests.
• Resolve member concerns in a fair and equitable manner.
• Assist with staff management and support Club Manager with reporting and inventory.
• Administer and enforce company policies and procedures with staff and members.
• Handle front desk duties including answering phones, member sign-ups, and tours.
• Ensure prompt opening/closing of the gym following proper protocols.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility; supervise daily cleaning tasks.
• Ensure safety of employees, members, and club property.
• Communicate equipment repair needs in a timely manner.
• Work at any Planet Fitness location within Houston Fitness Partners franchise.
