Job summary

Planet Fitness in the Houston area is seeking an Assistant Club Manager to support daily operations, lead front-desk activities, and help manage a welcoming, member-focused club environment.

You will assist in recruiting, training, and coaching staff, resolve member concerns, and partner with the Club Manager on reporting, inventory, and policy enforcement. This role includes opening/closing the club and maintaining facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Overnight Member Services Representatives, and Fitness Instructor.
• Lead by example and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follow superior customer service guidelines.
• Resolve member concerns in a fair and equitable manner.
• Assist with staff management and provide support to Club Manager with reporting, inventory, and other assigned duties as needed.
• Assist in administering and enforcing company policies and procedures with staff and members.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including answering phones in a friendly manner, assisting members with a variety of tasks, checking in members, new member sign-up. Touring perspective. Facilitate all member requests, issues, and questions.
• Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym following proper protocols.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility including taking responsibility for largest section of cleaning daily.
• Ensure safety of employees, members, and club property.
• Determine and communicate equipment repair in a timely manner.
