Job summary

City of Anna, Texas is seeking an Assistant City Engineer to manage CIP design, reviews, and construction oversight. You will coordinate staff, evaluate development impacts on infrastructure, and collaborate with the City Engineer and Public Works leadership on long-range planning.

The role requires a Texas PE license, a BS in engineering or related field, and proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS. A valid Texas driver license, drug screen, background, and MVR checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field as approved by Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
• Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas is required.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License at time of employment.
• Pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise in CIP design and construction.
• Review, evaluate, and approve engineering documents and bids.
• Oversee CIP planning from concept through construction and records in CAD/GIS.
• Manage engineering agreements and construction contracts; negotiate change orders.
• Provide direction to consultants and contractors on plans, specs, and reports.
• Supervise staff and manage division budgets and performance.
