City of Anna, Texas is seeking an Assistant City Engineer to manage CIP design, reviews, and construction oversight. You will coordinate staff, evaluate development impacts on infrastructure, and collaborate with the City Engineer and Public Works leadership on long-range planning.
The role requires a Texas PE license, a BS in engineering or related field, and proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS. A valid Texas driver license, drug screen, background, and MVR checks are required.

Under general supervision of the City Engineer, the Assistant City Engineer will be responsible for daily activities in management, assessment, and plan review of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) as well as construction inspections. The Assistant City Engineer will coordinate the operations of assigned staff, on identification and design of projects and assist with evaluating the impact of development on existing infrastructure. This position will work closely with the City Engineer, Director of Public Works and Assistant Director of Public Works, in assessing and evaluating engineering design needs for long-range planning.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, or other science approved by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, plus 6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess Basic: Database, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing skill.
Must possess a Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas.
Must be familiar with AutoCAD and GIS.
Must possess a valid Class “C” Driver’s License at the time of employment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
Regular use of highly complex machines and equipment; specialized or advanced software programs.
