Job summary

Vacatia at The Grandview Resort in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support daily Engineering and Maintenance operations and to help ensure a premier guest experience.

You will lead and develop the Engineering team, oversee preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance while maintaining safety standards and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hospitality engineering or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Engineering and Maintenance operations across the resort.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections.
• Perform and oversee repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
• Monitor maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Help supervise, schedule, train, and support Engineering team members.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and company safety standards.
• Coordinate work performed by outside contractors and vendors.
• Maintain engineering shop inventory, supplies, and organization.
• Assist with emergency response procedures and participate in on-call coverage.
• Deliver outstanding guest service while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
