Job summary

Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort is hiring an Assistant Director of Engineering to support the Director of Engineering. You will oversee the resort’s engineering and maintenance operations, provide leadership to the maintenance team, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.

The role requires strong technical expertise, budget oversight, and the ability to read blueprints and use MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in a resort or commercial environment.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s or associate degree in a maintenance-related field preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and O&M manuals.

Responsibilities

• Execute the strategic vision for the Engineering Department, aligning with the resort’s goals.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the maintenance team, fostering innovation and excellence.
• Implement, train, and enforce safety protocols ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Manage budgets (R&M and HLP), capital projects, P&L reviews, forecasting, and department ledger.
