Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist in preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings and systems.
• Assist in leading operations and supervising subcontractors when needed.
• Support safety compliance and adherence to applicable codes and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in following codes, regulations, and company directives.
• Lead operations, assign work orders, and mentor coworkers and subcontractors.
• Schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Check building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Oversee engineering staff work and ensure client spaces are in good condition.
• Respond to emergencies and seek help as needed.
• Apply advanced knowledge to develop better methods for department goals.
• Share expertise across disciplines and mentor others to build knowledge.
