Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager to run day-to-day operations at our Austin center, stepping in when the General Manager is away. You’ll lead a team, make quick decisions, and ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.

This on-site role offers advancement opportunities and access to U-Haul University training. A high school diploma, valid driver's license, and proven leadership or customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
