Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking an Assistant Center Director in Grimes, Iowa, to help lead our center with a caring, family‑focused approach. You will support the Center Director in enrollment, staff development, and daily operations to deliver quality early childhood education.

Work with teachers, families, and licensing authorities to build relationships, ensure safety, and implement our curriculum.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in early childhood education experience.
• Strong administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Meet state guidelines for the role.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
• Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Serve in various roles throughout the center as needed, including teacher, cook, and/or driver.
