Job summary

KinderCare Education LLC in Grimes, IA is seeking an Assistant Center Director to help lead our center to success. You will educate parents, teachers, and leaders on the value of early childhood education and bring that value to life for the children in your center.

As Assistant Center Director, you will support enrollment, accreditation, and operations, collaborate with families and staff, and ensure high-quality care across daily activities.

Qualifications

• Two years of early childhood education experience required, with understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Meet state guidelines for the role.
• Able to lift 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read/write/speak English to communicate with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for children.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and community partners.
• Serve in various roles as needed, including teacher, cook, or driver.
