Job summary

Dandelion Chocolate in San Francisco's Mission District is seeking an experienced Assistant Cafe and Retail Manager for our 16th Street Cafe to lead guest experiences and daily operations.

You will manage a dynamic team, oversee cash handling, inventory, onboarding, and training, and collaborate with the General Manager to maintain world-class hospitality. This full-time role starts at $29.50/hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Flexible Schedule – Full-time role with day/evening/weekend shifts.
• Leadership Experience – prior assistant management in food/retail/hospitality.
• Technical & Computer Aptitude – ability to develop checklists and training materials.
• Mechanical Know-How – troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with service professionals.
• Excellent Communication Skills – strong verbal/written communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Systems and Processes – maintain daily operations, inventories, scheduling, and safety standards.
• Leadership – drive guest experiences, delegate tasks, and work with GM to ensure hospitality quality.
• Hospitality – uphold high guest service standards and mentoring for the team.
• Goals and Results – track sales and purchases with tools to guide year-over-year progress.
• Other tasks as necessary.
