Job summary

Dandelion Chocolate at the Ferry Building in San Francisco is seeking a full-time Café and Retail Associate to welcome guests, craft hot chocolate and espresso drinks on our manual machine, and share our chocolate story with visitors.

You’ll learn about chocolate origins, work with Ritual Coffee Roasters, and help run a smooth, welcoming shop seven days a week with Sundays to Thursdays scheduling. Wage starts at $21/hour plus tips, with benefits included.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail or customer-facing work experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent spoken English required.
• Experience making espresso drinks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create hot chocolate drinks and espresso drinks with our manual machine and brew coffee with a consistent level of excellence.
• Provide exceptional guest service and develop long-standing relationships with visitors.
• Identify ways to improve operating procedures, checklists, and documentation for cafe improvements.
• Be a positive, team-oriented player who supports the team during busy periods.
• Other tasks as necessary
