Job summary

The Buttery in Kentucky is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead daily café operations, coach staff, and ensure outstanding guest experiences. Working with the General Manager, you’ll drive service quality, safety, costs, and growth.

This hands-on leadership role rewards ownership, teamwork, and a culture of warmth. You’ll supervise staffing, training, merchandising, and promotions while maintaining high standards across operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in café shop management or hospitality leadership.
• Proven ability to motivate and guide a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong focus on guest experience, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations with General Manager, acting as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest inquiries and issues.
• Oversee staffing, training, coaching, and scheduling to meet labor targets.
• Monitor sales, costs, and profitability; identify workflow improvements.
• Maintain product quality, merchandising, inventory, and promotions.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and tidy front/back of house.
• Collaborate on marketing initiatives to boost engagement and sales.
