URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Women's Apparel Buying team by planning product purchases, studying fashion trends, managing samples, and reporting accurately.

This role helps curate a customer-oriented product mix to achieve business goals and act as a liaison for internal teams and vendors. The position focuses on determining quantities, price points, and product mix to ensure inventory meets customer demand and sales goals, working closely with buyers

Qualifications

• Education: Fashion or merchandising degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1 year in a clerical or retail role preferred.
• Demonstrate understanding of target customer trends and selection.
• Comfort with statistical metrics and business data (e.g., IMU%, GM%, WOS).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Product Assortment: Support mix of market and private label products using data-backed insights.
• Fashion and Trend Awareness: Stay updated on trends to influence product selection.
• Sample Management: Organize vendor samples and maintain logs for merchandising.
• Data Management & Reporting: Update assortment sheets and use Island Pacific for accuracy.
• Collaboration: Communicate with peers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
