Major Responsibilities
- Record daily cash receipts and deposit to appropriate accounts
- Prepare deposits and post entries in the accounting system
- Communicate with residents, families, and others responsible for payments, keeping them informed about account status
- Analyze account activity, prepare interest calculations, and generate reports
- Bill payor classes timely and accurately
- Generate and submit network and insurance claims, statements, and UB92 forms for Medicare and other residents
- Complete month-end close processes promptly
- Maintain current provider and pay status in AFA
- Follow reporting procedures to ensure accuracy
- Contribute to system and process improvements for better healthcare delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree preferred
- Minimum of three years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Healthcare accounting experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be compassionate, dedicated, and committed to quality work
