Job summary

Rockland Trust, a full-service commercial bank, seeks an Assistant Branch Manager in Norwood, MA. You will support the Branch Manager to drive sales, customer experience, and branch operations across personal and business banking channels.

You will coach staff, manage referrals, and ensure compliance while promoting a positive, customer-centric environment that reflects the bank’s values and community focus.

Qualifications

• Notary Public and NMLS certification required or to be obtained.
• Ability to generate sales excitement and coach staff.
• Proficient in Word and Excel and able to operate standard office equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Consultative, team-oriented sales personality with strong customer service skills.
• Strong risk decision-making and solid operational proficiency.
• Supervisory abilities to provide positive feedback and manage performance.
• Ability to meet compliance and audit requirements.
• Professionalism and diplomacy; capable of working to schedule including weekends.
• Extensive product knowledge across consumer, home lending, business and cash management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Branch Manager to train, motivate, and develop employees.
• Own branch sales and customer experience performance and report results.
• Drive product promotion and identify opportunities for growth.
• Maintain branch operations and regulatory controls.
• Implement new policies and procedures and communicate changes to staff.
• Develop sales programs and maintain a positive sales/service environment.
• Lead lobby management and proactive customer outreach.
• Utilize Salesforce for referrals and performance tracking.
• Address customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Support community involvement and represent the bank in the branch.
• Assist with reporting duties as needed.
