Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Branch Manager in Massachusetts to lead a high-performing team and deliver exceptional customer experience across the branch network. You will recruit, coach, and develop staff, drive sales and service standards, and manage operations to meet financial goals.

You will build relationships, expand the branch footprint, and promote a customer-centric approach across lobby, phone, and digital channels while partnering with business banking and other lines of business.

Qualifications

• College degree in business or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous retail banking or retail sales management experience.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong leadership ability.
• Proven track record in managing sales, customer experience, and operations for a large branch.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed.
• Ability to complete the training program.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing specialty De Novo locations and establish a strong book of business.
• Develop and maintain effective lobby management and customer outreach efforts to enhance the customer experience both in and outside of the branch.
• Select, hire, and motivate appropriate staff to deliver our value propositions and financial results.
• Regularly coach employees toward achieving sales and service standards using a needs-based consultative approach.
• Lead a team in prospecting new business and growing relationships in an existing larger book of business.
• Foster a positive climate of teamwork and lead by example to inspire confidence and loyalty.
• Develop quality employees through coaching, joint sales calls, and defined activities; track and report performance.
• Ensure customers receive a World Class Customer Experience across all channels.
