Job summary

Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Branch Manager to join our team and help deliver an exceptional banking experience for our customers. You will support daily branch operations and staff development.

You will process transactions, open and maintain accounts, assist with consumer lending activities, ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and partner with branch leadership to strengthen customer relationships and drive results.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business or related field is required.
• One to three years of experience in a sales and/or service-oriented position is required.
• Prior cash handling experience is required.
• Previous supervisory, leadership, or coaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to identify customer financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer proficiency and ability to input and retrieve data required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily branch operations and help maintain an efficient, customer-focused environment.
• Assist customers with account opening, account maintenance, and a variety of banking transactions.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
• Support consumer lending activities and generate referrals to other business lines when appropriate.
• Assist with employee coaching, training, and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Help drive branch sales, customer service, and operational goals.
• Partner with branch leadership to strengthen customer relationships and team performance.
