Job summary

Columbia Bank in Petaluma, CA is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to work with the Branch Manager to ensure daily operational excellence, supervise Tellers, and deliver Breakthrough Client Service.

You will process transactions, cross-sell products, and make referrals while maintaining audits and strong branch controls. A high school diploma and banking experience are required; supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of retail banking experience required.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• 1 year of consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred.
• Customer service background in retail or banking.
• Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the branch meets or exceeds operations standards and audits.
• Monitor sales and service goals; coach team to deepen customer relationships.
• Develop and maintain relationships with consumers and businesses and provide proactive solutions.
• Back up personal banking team to open new accounts and handle loan requests.
• Manage, lead, train, and coach Tellers; may oversee personal bankers with Branch Manager.
• Process branch operations such as opening/closing, overdraft monitoring, wires, collections, stop payments, and controls.
