Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years of related financial institution experience.
• Solid understanding of teller, member service, and loan officer functions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable with computer applications and everyday office equipment.
• Natural leadership qualities and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Ensure branch operations run in line with policy, legal, and regulatory requirements, in step with other departments.
• Build deep knowledge of credit union products and services, and cross-sell to meet member needs.
• Oversee branch security, respond to alarms, and support opening/closing procedures.
• Make sure the branch balances all transactions at the end of each day.
• Help implement policy and procedure changes at the branch level.
• Handle loan processing and closings, certificates of deposit, IRAs, HSAs, and new accounts.
• Provide direction and supervision to branch staff, and step in as Branch Manager when needed.
• Onboard and train new employees, and cross-train staff across roles.
• Help set staffing levels and build schedules.
• Resolve member requests and questions promptly, or route them appropriately.
• Keep management informed of branch activity and flag ideas for better service.
• Complete required reports accurately and on time.
