Job summary

Carter Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Danville, AL to develop and maintain customer relationships while supporting branch associates and ensuring financial performance.

You will implement the branch's strategic plan, supervise staff, promote bank products, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. The role requires strong leadership, customer service, and collaboration in a fast-paced retail banking environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college a plus.
• Experience in a financial institution or retail services required.
• Proven customer service and/or sales experience.
• Demonstrated leadership capability in a prior position.
• Account/relationship management experience a plus.
• Operations experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide consistent application of retail operating model, behaviors, and tools.
• Help execute branch strategic plan to grow deposits and loans and fee income.
• Support branch associate planning, reinforce expectations, and assess performance.
• Maintain high employee morale to minimize turnover and maximise service.
• Promote bank products and services to meet growth objectives.
• Oversee quality of product sales and servicing.
• Identify referrals to internal partners and vendors.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences and service.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and maintenance of facilities.
• Assist onboarding and coaching of branch staff.
