Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction seeks an Assistant Virtual Construction Manager to lead BIM standards, implementation, and coordination on complex projects. This role manages the VDC Planner and Modeler, collaborating with the Sr.

Director of Engineering Services to align BIM with corporate strategy and project schedules. The successful candidate will drive BIM design, coordination, and model sharing with architects and engineers, while supporting subcontractors and ensuring high-quality BIM

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction or design with BIM proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction related field.
• Working knowledge of BIM software including Revit, Bentley, and Vico.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop BIM standards, implementation, and enforcement.
• Manage BIM Coordination with MEP and trade coordination.
• Develop BIM execution plans and project standards.
• Coordinate with architects/engineers to share BIM models and streamline design.
• Assist subcontractors with BIM adoption and compliance.
• Maintain and improve BIM-related processes and resources.
