Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead the banquet team and ensure flawless event execution. You will work with the sales and events staff to assign tasks and monitor setup, service quality, and guest satisfaction across all public areas.

The role requires prior banquet supervision, knowledge of food and beverage service, and etiquette. Nights and weekends are common, with frequent event coverage at our properties.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet captain or supervisor experience required.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service and etiquette.
• Experience with event setup in meeting rooms.
• Marriott branded experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assign work to ensure events run per client expectations.
• Coordinate with sales/events team to maintain setup and cleanliness.

What you will be doing: You will serve as a key member of our food & beverage leadership team. Using banquet event orders and in communication with our sales & events team, you will assign and check work to ensure that events are executed in accordance with the client's expectations and that all public areas are neat and clean.

What you should bring to the table: We are looking for an energetic, professional team player who is skilled in the art of hosting. Prior banquet captain or supervisor experience is required. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette, and knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware, as well as various types of equipment and set up styles used in the meeting rooms is important.

When you will be working: Banquet events are frequently on night and weekends, but the hotel hosts groups every day of the week and all hours of the day.
