Assistant Baker – Food & Beverage

As a bakery assistant with a passion for baking and quality craftsmanship, you play a key role in delivering freshly made products and supporting smooth day-to-day operations in our bakery. This position is essential to producing high-quality breads, pies and pastries while contributing to a friendly, efficient workplace. Working closely with a small, dedicated team, you help create exceptional products that are enjoyed both in-house and across other areas of the business.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pies, sausage rolls, and various pastries
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately according to recipes and directions
• Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., mixers, ovens, dough rollers)
• Support daily production goals and maintain product quality standards
• Package and label baked goods for distribution or sale
• Keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Assist with stock rotation and inventory control
• Support other team members and contribute to a positive working environment
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures

Experience / Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial bakery or food preparation setting
• Familiarity with different types of baked goods and baking techniques
