Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, finance from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Two years of professional accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience with government accounting and GAAP preferred.
• Strong analytical and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs daily functions of the Auditor's Office: budget, payroll, accounts payable and reporting.
• Supervises and evaluates professional, technical and clerical staff; provides development and discipline as needed.
• Provides technical accounting expertise to department staff and other County personnel.
• Analyzes and revises accounting policies and procedures; maintains accurate financial records.
• Prepares financial statements, reports and the County Adopted budget for state and local agencies.
• Represents the County Auditor with the public, boards and outside agencies as needed.
