**Job Description:**As a Transportation Analyst, you’ll help optimize the movement of product across our global transportation network, supporting the efficient flow of merchandise from origin to destination. You’ll bring together transportation expertise, data and technology to identify opportunities, anticipate risks, improve performance and inform business decisions across our domestic and international network.You’ll work across multiple modes—including ocean, air, truckload, LTL, intermodal and small parcel—and develop an understanding of how origin, international transportation and destination operations connect to deliver the right product, at the right time and at the right cost. You’ll partner closely with internal Supply Chain teams, transportation service providers and cross-functional business partners to solve problems, improve processes and enhance the customer experience.This role is for someone who is curious about what the data is telling us—and what it can tell us next. You’ll leverage analytics, visualization, automation, predictive insights and emerging AI capabilities to move beyond reporting what happened to helping the business understand why it happened, what may happen next and what we should do about it.You’ll also play an important role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our transportation providers. In a highly connected transportation network, you’ll balance partnership and accountability—building trust, collaborating to solve problems and maintaining the confidence to challenge performance and advocate for the business when needed.**What Will You Be Doing?*** Analyze and optimize transportation across our global network, developing an end-to-end understanding of product movement and the cost, service, capacity and customer-experience tradeoffs across transportation modes.* Turn complex transportation and trade operations data into actionable business insights by monitoring performance, identifying trends and risks, investigating root causes and clearly communicating recommendations to Supply Chain leaders and business partners.* Support accurate and compliant import and export execution by partnering with Trade Compliance, customs brokers, freight forwarders and service providers on documentation, tariff classification inputs, recordkeeping, audits and changing regulatory requirements.* Advance predictive and proactive decision-making by using analytics, visualization, automation, emerging AI capabilities and other technologies to anticipate disruptions, improve forecasting and prioritize opportunities.* Build trusted partnerships with transportation service providers, using performance data and regular business reviews to solve problems, strengthen accountability and drive measurable, sustainable improvement.* Partner across Supply Chain and the broader business to understand needs, solve transportation and trade challenges and develop solutions that improve service, reliability, cost and the customer experience.* Support transportation sourcing and expense management, including provider evaluations, bid analysis, contract negotiations, freight-cost analysis, invoice resolution and opportunities involving routing, consolidation, Free Trade Agreements and trusted trader programs.* Improve transportation and trade processes, controls and technology, supporting scalable workflows, documentation, visibility tools, trade compliance systems, TMS capabilities, data integrations and digital solutions that enable faster, smarter decisions.**What Do You Need to Bring?*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.* Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain analytics or a related field; experience with global transportation is strongly preferred.* Working knowledge of multiple transportation modes, including international ocean, international air, truckload, LTL, intermodal and small parcel.* Understanding of end-to-end transportation processes and the interdependencies between origin operations, international transportation, destination operations and final delivery.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and interpret data from multiple sources and translate it into actionable recommendations.* Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards or other reporting tools that make complex information easy to understand and act upon.* Advanced proficiency in Excel and demonstrated ability to work with large or complex datasets; experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools is preferred.* Interest in and demonstrated curiosity about AI, predictive analytics, automation and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify practical ways these tools can improve transportation planning, visibility and decision-making.* Experience with transportation management systems, supply chain visibility platforms, EDI/API or other transportation technology is a plus.* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to move from identifying an issue to understanding root cause and developing a practical solution.* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain data, insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.* Confident influencer who can drive results through influence rather than authority, challenge performance constructively, ask difficult questions and advocate for business needs while preserving strong long-term relationships.* Ability to build effective relationships and influence internal and external partners, including transportation service providers.* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.* Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams and levels of the organization.* Curious, creative and open-minded approach to solving problems and improving how we work.* Demonstrated commitment to expense management, operational excellence and delivering an exceptional customer experience. **Benefits & Perks**As an Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
