Hood Distribution in Nashville, TN is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations and drive profitability. You will ensure proper inventory handling, address quality issues, and lead a team focused on customer service and safety.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent experience, strong organizational skills, and 5+ years in operations or sales with 2+ years in management. Proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook is expected.

Qualifications

• College degree in business field or equivalent experience.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• P&L experience with managing sales and operations.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude to handle customer or employee situations.
• Sales-driven manager who can grow new business and maintain current business.
• Minimum 5 years of operations or sales experience; minimum 2 years in management.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to speak before groups.
• Computer (Excel, Word, & Outlook) and IT system literacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations and establish consistent processes and standards.
• Monitor financial performance and profitability of the branch.
• Ensure inventory is received, stored and delivered to minimize loss.
• Follow up on quality or specification issues raised by employees or customers.
• Identify opportunities to grow sales by developing new customers or expanding product lines.
• Reinforce a customer-focused mindset for internal and external customers.
• Provide continuous training and coaching for all branch personnel.
