Job summary

CPG is seeking an Assistant Account Manager to support the delivery and coordination of customer accounts in data center and critical infrastructure services. You will partner with Account Managers to ensure service operations run smoothly and communication across stakeholders is clear.

The role acts as a central coordinator between customers, OEMs, subcontractors, field technicians, and internal teams, ensuring all activities are planned, documented, and executed efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in account coordination, operations support, or customer service.
• Experience in data centers or critical infrastructure preferred.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Managers in day-to-day management of customer accounts.
• Assist in maintaining strong customer relationships through responsiveness and professionalism.
• Provide regular updates on account activity and service delivery status.
• Assist in preparing for customer meetings, including agendas and reports.
• Coordinate scheduling of technicians, OEM vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor work orders and service tickets to ensure timely completion.
• Serve as liaison between field teams, operations management, and account leadership.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and assist with timesheets and service reports.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Account Manager (AAM) plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery, coordination, and performance of customer accounts within the data center and critical infrastructure services environment. This position partners closely with Account Managers to ensure seamless execution of service operations, effective communication across stakeholders, and accurate tracking of account activity.

The AAM acts as a central coordination point between customers, OEMs, subcontractors, field technicians, and internal teams, ensuring all service activities are planned, documented, and executed efficiently. This role requires strong organizational discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment.

• Support Account Managers in the day-to-day management of customer accounts
• Assist in maintaining strong customer relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and proactive communication

• Support issue resolution by tracking customer concerns and coordinating internal responses

• Assist in planning service delivery timelines and ensuring resource alignment
• Monitor work orders and service tickets to ensure timely completion
• Serve as liaison between field teams, operations management, and account leadership
• Communicate scheduling changes and project updates
• Maintain accurate account records, schedules, and service documentation
• Assist with processing timesheets and service reports
• Support billing readiness and documentation accuracy
• Track labor hours and operational metrics
• Monitor open items, escalations, and service gaps
• Drive timely follow-up and resolution of issues
• Identify risks and elevate to Account Managers
• Support continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure technicians meet safety and site access requirements
• Support adherence to company procedures and customer requirements
• Maintain audit-ready documentation

Education/Experience

• 2+ years of experience in account coordination, operations support, or customer service
• Experience in data centers or critical infrastructure preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication skills
• US Citizenship required

Computer Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications such as: Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Knowledge of NetSuite is a PLUS.
