Job summary

Magellan Health in Kentucky seeks a Personal Financial Counselor (Assignment Ready Counselor, PFC-Kentucky) to deliver comprehensive financial counseling to military members and their families on installations. You will develop spending plans, provide classes and materials, and coordinate with installation leadership to meet DoD program needs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with commanders and other providers, including the use of secure virtual counseling tools and adherence to DoD

Qualifications

U.S. citizen with fluent English required.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
Certification: AFC, CFP, or ChFC required.
Must be able to obtain Tier 2 investigation and comply with OCI disclosures.

Responsibilities

Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
Help establish spending plans for extended absences.
Develop and distribute financial education materials and workshops.
Coordinate and deliver personal financial management classes on installations.
Utilize virtual counseling tools as required by DoD FINRED program.
Participate in supervision, training, and program activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
