Job summary
Magellan Federal is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor (Assignment Ready) KS to provide comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families at military installations. The role covers short-term, surge, and on-demand needs, including education, screenings, and referrals.
The candidate will deliver one-on-one counseling, group workshops, and briefings, working with DoD processes and ensuring DoD financial readiness.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- May consider associates with 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- May consider high school diploma with 6 years' experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
- Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
- Develop and provide financial materials and offer classes/workshops.
- Coordinate and publicize financial management classes across the military lifecycle.
- Utilize virtual counseling and secure online communications as needed.
- Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
