The role delivers full breadth financial counseling at military installations, develops spending plans, and conducts PFM classes; must have 3+ years of experience and AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications. US citizenship and DoD suitability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; alternative: associate degree + 4 years experience or high school diploma + 6 years experience.
• Minimum 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Must hold AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials for service members and families.
• Coordinate and conduct personal financial management classes for various military lifecycle topics.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes.
• Ensure compliance with DoD and DoD protocol requirements.
