Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready Counselor, to provide coverage in military installations in Wisconsin.

The role focuses on comprehensive personal financial counseling for service members and their families, including budgeting, education, and referrals, in short-term and surge situations. The position requires at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in financial counseling, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• May consider an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's.
• May consider a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 background investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI).
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in short-term, surge and on-demand situations for military needs.
• Deliver personal financial counseling to service members and families at military installations.
• Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and run Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Use virtual counseling or secure online communications when required.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Maintain DoD-compliant operations and coordinate with POC.
• Participate in supervision and contract activities as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
