Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver counseling and financial education to service members and their families at government installations in Springfield, IL.

The role covers short-term surge needs and existing assignments when counselors are absent. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, group workshops, and coordination with military POCs to meet installation needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish may be required by contract.
• Must pass OCI and Tier 2 background checks.
• Certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Help establish spending plans for extended absences and deployments.
• Develop and distribute financial materials and resources.
• Coordinate and present Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication modes when required.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision and program activities.
