Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor assigned to Clearwater, Florida, to provide comprehensive financial counseling services to service members and their families at installations.

The role includes budgeting, education, and coordination of PFM classes with DoD-aligned protocols. The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combinations), 3+ years in financial counseling, and relevant AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications, with potential bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• May consider an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• May consider a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and provide informational financial materials for service members and families.
• Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across military lifecycle.
• Utilize virtual counseling or secure online communications as needed.
• Lead and participate in supervision and training sessions and contract activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
