Job summary

Magellan Health in Oregon seeks a Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready, to deliver financial counseling and education to service members and their families at military installations. You will provide one-on-one counseling, briefings, and referrals, coordinating with installation POCs to ensure scope and needs are met.

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 3+ years of experience, U.S. citizenship, fluent English, and AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; alternative combinations may be considered.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
• If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Certifications AFC, CFP, or ChFC are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Develop spending plans and educational materials for military personnel.
• Coordinate nationwide and on-installation financial classes/workshops.
• Deliver virtual counseling when required and comply with DoD protocols.
• Maintain communications with leadership and participate in supervision and trainings.
