Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to provide on-demand coverage for military personnel and families at installations in Southfield, MI. The role focuses on one-on-one counseling, group briefings, and virtual services to support financial readiness.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent mix of education/experience) and 3+ years of counseling, with U.S. citizenship and English fluency. DoD compliance and certifications (AFC/CFP/ChFC) are expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• May consider Associate degree + 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• May consider high school diploma + 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must be able to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must have one of the following certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.

Responsabilidades

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Coordinates, publicizes and provides a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or secure communications as required by the contract.
• Manages duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in regular supervision and training.
